JUNE 25, 2017 -- I'm very proud to be the official photographer for the off-Broadway show, PLACES, written by and starring Romy Nordlinger. She is pictured here from the shoot we did (see more on my photography page), in which I attempted to capture a feeling of 1920's glamour portraits. The show is about the life of silent film and stage star, Alla Nazimova, and after its short run at 59E59 Theatre in New York it will be heading to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August for a one-month run. I'm excited to be going there to support the show!
OCTOBER 2, 2016 -- Very excited to have just completed my portrait of Ricardo and Jim -- and two more commissions on the way! I've fallen a little short (so far) of my goal of six commissions this year. Time to go out and promote myself again!
JANUARY 9, 2015 - Happy New Year! I begin 2016 with excitement and sadness.
The excitement comes from opening up a whole new world with my first serious portrait in acrylics, "Konstantinos" (12" x 16"). It was a commission I did for a colleague for her boyfriend, of his late father. I'm looking forward to many more people portraits!
Which brings me to the sad part. My friend Sly commissioned me last year to paint his beloved dogs, Tino and Simon. I started working on it but set it aside to finish Konstantinos before Christmas. About a week ago I received word that Sly had become ill and passed away quite suddenly. Needless to say, I was shocked and sad to hear this. In tribute to Sly I will be finishing his pet portrait and sending it to his family. Besides, who knows. . .he may be watching me paint it now. I will post a picture when it is complete.

Meet "Bear and Boo", one of my smallest paintings -- which interestingly made the work more challenging.

Just finished my latest pet portrait, Vince (left). The painting has reached its family and is being enjoyed by all, including the subject -- as evidenced here.
